First published on 1/22/2014 at Necessary Fiction, “Abduction at the Deluxe Kwik-Trip Pump” is an absurd meditation on what life and love is worth. The narrator discovers her husband’s life insurance and sets about learning what sum her death would command.
First published in issue 93 of the Greensboro Review. Lang and Tuyen live with their Uncle Chinh in the Pasquotank. When Uncle Chinh plans to remarry, Lang makes plans for escape.
